Human genetic variation and disease

Staff and researchers from the MRC Human Genetics Unit are working with the lead biology teachers for Edinburgh and their colleagues to create a real data resource to allow high school students to explore genetic and phenotypic data.

This resource pack uses data from the MRC Human Genetics Unit and provides information on:

  • Genetic variation/ DNA mutations
  • Genetic basis of disease risk
  • Human population cohort studies and methods
  • Genes and Proteins in Health and Disease
  • Human Genomics
  • Expression of genotype and protein production
